The 21 day fix, just the food!

Alright, its finally here, I’ve been patiently waiting for it, and its here! Throughout my P90X3 journey I feel like my food could have been way better, I had my moments and let’s be honest food is a struggle. Now don’t get me wrong my body has changed in ways I haven’t seen in a long time but I wish I would have controlled those foods just a little but more. So I decided I could do the food portion of the fix with X3. I got the it in the mail yesterday. I started reading and opened all the containers and laid them out on the counter. Then PANIC set it, how am I going to eat only from these containers, they are so small!!!! What no creamer or added salt, maybe this wasn’t such a good idea. But then I took a step back and remembered, this isn’t as hard as it looks and I can do this and I don’t need to have extra salt, and I could finally take that next step and give up my coffee creamer. So today is day 1, I did NOT put creamer in my coffee, I had it black today. This is a HUGE step for me, I have slowly removed creamer from my diet, first I started measuring it, then I changed to natural bliss, a creamer with only a few ingredients opposed to 17 things you can’t pronounce, and now today I gave it up. I wanted to give you guys a quick look into what I will eat today so you can have an idea of what a 21 day fix would look like for you. After doing the math for my caloric intake I can have 4 Red, 1 Orange, 1 Blue, 3 Green, 2 Purple, 2 Yellow and 2 Teaspoons a day. Now this will have to be adjusted on days I am doing my X3 workout and running 4 1/2 miles because I will burning a whole lot more calories but you get the idea. Red is proteins, Blue is mostly nuts, Green is veggies obviously, Purple is fruits, Yellow is breads, grains, rice, etc. and teaspoons can be a few different things but for me it will be almond butter. My day will look like this:
Breakfast-Black coffee, 2 eggs scrambled with red pepper flakes, 1/2 of an ezekial english muffin and a teaspoon of almond butter and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
Snack-Cottage cheese with cherry tomatoes
Lunch-Chocolate shakeology with orange extract, water and ice.
S-Greek yogurt with pineapple and a teaspoon of honey and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
Dinner- Shredded chicken, broccoli, quinoa.
I also have 12 raw almonds and a 1/2 of a banana I can eat somewhere in there if I am hungry.
Doesn’t sound so bad huh?!
This is a great jump start for fitness, remember getting in shape starts in the kitchen! 80% diet, 20% fitness!!!!! If you struggle with food more and less on the exercise(which means you can exercise and will)then this is the way to go! Fix it, 21 day fix style!
